About
I am currently a Data Scientist at Microsoft.
I received my PhD from the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University (SMU). My PhD thesis focussed on improving software testing and debugging through qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
I was supervised by Prof. David Lo and Prof. Lingxiao Jiang as part of the Software Analytics Research Group (SOAR). Previously, I completed two internships at Microsoft Research:
-
2015 - I worked with Nachiappan Nagappan, Thomas Zimmermann and Christian Bird as part of the Empirical Software
Engineering (ESE) group.
-
2017 - I worked with Trevor Carnahan as part of the Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS).
In 2015, I was on exchange programme to Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where I worked with Prof. Claire Le Goues. My research interests involve empirical software engineering particularly focusing on software testing, debugging, software metrics, and reliability. I am interested in how software analytics can improve software engineering practices and help develop high quality software.
I am from the capital city of New Delhi, also known as Delhi, which is situated in the northern part of India. Previously, I completed my graduation from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India. After my graduation I worked in IT industry for 2 years in the area of software development.
